Rebrand WIP for J.B. Hunt, a transportation logistics company. Researching the history of the logo, I found that the owner really liked the image of a scroll and has maintained it since their inception in 1961. My idea was to evolve the brand by making the letter thickness and the scroll thickness be the same weight, which would allow the logo to be removed from it's rectangle. I also adjusted the angle of the scroll and simplified the rolled up edges. Below is my result.
