Vintage Seiko Watch Illustration

Finished this illustration and animation of a vintage 1978 Seiko 6309-7049 dive watch, one of my favorite watches I own. I've had this one for a few years, I love how worn the outer bezel is from 42 years of wear. The thing is just overbuilt, with a large cushion case and recessed crown at 4 o'clock. Love the classic Seiko dial hour marker design as well, this particular version was made in the Suwa factory in Japan indicated with a stylized "S" symbol just below the 150m text. I started by drawing this in Adobe Illustrator, then brought the layers into After Effects to animate the hands.
