OVERVIEW
Limited edition bike collaboration between Raleigh Bicycles, 1984 Olympic medalist Nelson Vails, and graffiti legend Zephyr. This project was designed to honor Nelson’s beginnings as a bike messenger in NYC, capturing the grit, speed, and culture that shaped his journey.
Each symbol on the frame reflects moments and influences from Nelson and Zephyr’s early years in Harlem and Manhattan, blending sport and street into a shared visual language. Consider it a graphic tribute to two pioneers who changed the game—and helped define it. The bike is named “Teaba,” an early nickname that roots the story in Nelson’s origin.
